League Statement (25-4-12)
A reminder of the playing regulation change this year:
Each bowler is limited to 20% of the overs, and read section 12(g) on what to do with the bowler limits when the number of overs is reduced.
Secondly, the bonus points are slightly different:
 - if you bowl a side out for under 100 you get 2 extra points (whether you win or lose)
 - if you bowl a side out for a score between 100 and 124 you get 1
extra point (whether you win or lose)
 - if you win batting second, there are a maximum of 5 batting points including extra points for wickets in hand.
Add in 1 point for every 2 wickets in hand, as before, but if the total of batting points goes past 5, then you just get 5  - e.g if you bat second and win scoring 200 or over, you still get just 5 points regardless of how many wickets in hand  - e.g if you win with a score score 100-124 batting second you can add up to 4 points for wickets in hand

Indoor League (20-2-11) Tuesday saw the final fixture of the season against Apperley. A top of the table clash but with a superior batting average it was virtually impossible to be caught by our opposition. In a game that ebbed and flowed, we eventually we fell 10 short of the 95 run target set by Apperley. A game we could have won, but now we are just waiting confirmation of the title.

(21-12-11)Thanks to everyone who supported the club raffle.
We managed to raise £505 towards club funds.
Big thanks to Tom Parsons for organising this year's raffle
Chairman Tom (21-12-11) The indoor cricket team continues to do well in winter indoor league, this is a fast and furious game which is not for the light hearted. The Christmas raffle has done well and will boost the junior fund for 2012. To all the friends of BBCC we wish you all a very merry Christmas and new year , the committee are planning a very full social calendar for the club and it's friends in 2012
Annual General Meeting Chairman Tom (15-11-11) Birdlip and Brimpsfield Cricket Club. We lose a legend from the club , a man who brought his own kind of humour to the changing room,  a man with whom I opened the batting with on many occasion and had a 100 opening partnership in a very critical league game , all of BBCC wish John Jessop a very happy retirement. Our AGM moved the club forward , some very positive changes for the future, Ian Green now chairman of the juniors is heading up 2 junior league sides , Andy Hieron is 1st team captain a tough but fair man who just loves to win , Andy Moor a very experienced cricketer is 2nd team captain ,and Dan Knock takes us into an unknown area as Sunday 1st team league captain , we now have a cricket development committee headed by our ex pro Mr D Partridge , he will be passing amongst you looking for talent . Our trustees continue to keep their eye on us and just sometimes have to give a gentle tug on the reins. We are holding our Christmas raffle at the Golden Heart on Monday 19th Dec all money raised going to the development of our junior cricket , if you are not offered the chance to buy these tickets but would like to join in , please ring me 01452 814152 and arrangements can be made ,and thank you in advance. Tom Parsons (still chairman)

Chairman Tom (21-10-11)Birdlip and Brimpsfield Cricket Club. October saw our annual club dinner this was held at the Golden Heart and I would like to thank them for a splendid job. A lot of fun was had and the guests were very polite during the speeches. Our silver ware was won in the 1st team by Andy Moore whose batting average shot up with 4 not outs, Andy Heiron won the bowling cup. In the 2nd X1 the batting was won by young George Smith and the bowling by the ever green Paul Harris, the clubman trophy which the chairman chooses went to Trevor Holder our treasurer and bar steward for all his hard work off the field. The Junior cup this year went to Dan Gadsen who is excelling not only at junior level but also in the mens game .November the 14th is our AGM to be held at the clubhouse 7.30 pm . We are reintroducing the Christmas raffle this year all proceeds to go to the junior section, so brace yourselves for the sales pitch!
